GE Dryer Error Codes
E3-E6
If the thermistor is not working properly, it should be checked for loose wires or other damage and replaced if necessary. After receiving fault codes E3-E6, unplug the GE dryer from the mains, wait 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

Make sure the dryer is plugged into an appropriate electrical outlet. Electric dryers may require a higher voltage outlet to provide sufficient power. Check the dryer circuit breaker for blown fuses or tripped breakers. Unplug the dryer, wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in to erase the problem code.

With a damp cloth, gently wipe the control panel, paying close attention to each key. In other situations, disconnecting the dryer for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in will erase the error code. If none of these fixes helped, the control panel may need to be changed. Request Service

After unplugging the dryer for 30 seconds, plug it back in. The error message will vanish.

Disconnect the dryer. Loose wires of the input thermistor should be connected. Damaged wires must be replaced. Replace the input thermistor if the wiring harness is in good condition. Request Service

Remove the dryer plug from the mains. Connect all wires to the output thermistor. If it is damaged, the wiring harness must be replaced. Replace the input thermistor if the wiring harness is in good condition. Request Service

Turn off the dryer for 5 minutes. Replace the main control board if the error code persists after the reset. Request Service

Try pressing each button to release the stuck one. If the error code does not reset, unplug the dryer from the mains and check for damaged or missing parts on the control panel. If the control panel is intact, the main control board must be replaced. Request Service
