- Unplug the washing machine.
- To reach the washer’s rear, move the appliance away from the wall.
- Locate the two fasteners holding the top panel in place. You will need a 1/4-inch wrench to loosen them.
- Disconnect the old electronic control board from the rest of the system. After detaching the locking tabs from the wire connections, remove the wire harness plug from the connecting receptacle. Unscrew the head screw and slide the electronic control board out of the support bracket.

- To find the switch, check if it is located on the door frame of the washing machine. It may also be located in the door lock assembly.
- Check the strike’s connection to the lock assembly to make sure it is secure. Make that the door is closed before checking it.
- After discovering the strike, search for any indications of damage or cracking.
- Verify the switch’s continuity. To protect yourself while resolving the issue, disconnect the washing machine.
- ake off the front panel to access the switch.
- After you’ve accessed the front panel, remove the switch so you may test it.
- Verify that the multimeter’s RX1 setting is selected.
- Attach the probes to the terminals of the switch. You should get infinite readings. Make sure you press and hold the switch button now that the probes are on the terminals. You should get a zero or very close to zero reading.

- Disconnect the washing machine from the mains.
- Unscrew the washer’s cabinet to remove it.
- Take the cables away from the motor. Use the metal connections attached to them to remove them rather than pulling on the wires directly.
- Touch the motor’s terminals with a multimeter set to the RX1 setting.
- Use one probe to make contact with the motor’s exposed metal housing while the first probe is still on the terminal. This is how you check for a ground connection, and your multimeter’s test result should be zero or almost zero.
